INVESTIGATION

MUSIC RELATED

  • "interactivity in composition en improvisation using real-time spectral analysis" (University of Antwerp (Wim D'Haes) and Royal Flemish Conservatory (W.Henderickx) ) - February 2008 - May 2009

Point of departure for this investigation is the spectral analysis-method for sound-signals designed by the “Visionlab” of the UA. This analysis-method will be refined –through direct dialogue between the composer/performer and the software-developer – for the application in interactive composition(s)/improvisation(s). At the same time, the use of spectral analysis in musical composition practice will be put in an historical framework.
